About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Benefits & HRIS Specialist to join their HR team. This role is a key partner in supporting employees while ensuring compliance and accuracy across benefits administration and HRIS functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, advanced Excel skills, and experience working with UKG Pro to help streamline processes and provide actionable reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Benefits Administration

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee benefits questions.

  • Administer health, welfare, and retirement plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations across multiple states.

  • Manage vendor and carrier file feeds, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

  • Reconcile monthly benefits invoices and resolve discrepancies.

  • Support compliance and reporting requirements (e.g., 5500, EEO-1, ACA).

HRIS Management

  • Maintain employee data within UKG Pro, including new hires, terminations, and changes.

  • Run standard and ad-hoc reports, leveraging advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, vlookups) for data analysis.

  • Provide troubleshooting and user support for HRIS-related issues.

  • Partner with HR leadership to identify opportunities for process improvements and data integrity.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration and HRIS.

  • Proficiency in UKG Pro (UltiPro).

  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, vlookups, and data reporting.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Multi-state benefits administration experience.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support employees and partner with internal teams.

  • Knowledge of federal and state benefits compliance requirements.
