Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Program Coordinator to manage day habilitation services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will oversee daily programming, ensuring a safe, engaging, and person-centered environment aligned with the organization’s mission.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate daily staffing and schedules to ensure seamless program delivery

Assist the Program Manager with hiring, training, onboarding, and supervising interns and staff

Participate in direct support duties and provide hands-on care and engagement as scheduled

Maintain required certifications (First Aid, CPR, MAP, PREVENT) and obtain MAP within six months of hire

Implement clinical and behavioral treatment plans, conduct assessments, manage crises, and provide intervention support

Oversee program activities, lead staff meetings, resolve issues, and assign tasks

Manage program documentation, including incident reports, progress notes, attendance logs, and teaching programs

Provide advocacy and coordination with families, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders

Occasionally transport clients or run errands as needed

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or at least 2 years of relevant experience (degree and experience may be interchangeable)

Strong interpersonal skills; ability to teach, support, and positively engage individuals, families, and teams

Excellent verbal and written communication, with professionalism at all times

Valid driver’s license required; willingness to drive clients occasionally

Ability to obtain and maintain certifications in MAP, First Aid, CPR, and PREVENT within required timeframes

Physical ability to bend, stand, use stairs, and assist clients up to 200 lbs as needed
