Talent Acquisition Specialist

Position Summary

King & Bishop is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to support full-cycle recruitment and pre-employment activities. This position will manage the hiring process from requisition intake through candidate onboarding coordination, ensuring an efficient recruitment experience for candidates and hiring managers.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing high-volume recruiting activity in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to balance competing priorities, and a commitment to delivering a positive candidate experience.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will also support recruitment events, workforce development partnerships, community outreach, and other talent acquisition initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Recruitment

• Manage the recruitment lifecycle from requisition intake through pre-employment clearance and start-date readiness.
• Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, position requirements, qualifications, and hiring timelines.
• Review and manage approved requisitions, ensuring accurate and effective job postings.
• Source qualified candidates through job boards, recruiting platforms, professional networks, educational institutions, and community partnerships.
• Screen and evaluate candidates based on position requirements and qualifications.
• Coordinate interviews, gather hiring manager feedback, and facilitate timely communication throughout the selection process.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment activity within the applicant tracking system (ATS).

Candidate Experience & Pre-Employment Coordination

• Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment and pre-employment process.
• Deliver a professional, responsive, and engaging candidate experience.
• Prepare and coordinate employment offers in accordance with established guidelines and approved compensation.
• Communicate offer details and guide candidates through the acceptance process.
• Coordinate pre-employment requirements and partner with HR teams and hiring managers to resolve outstanding issues.
• Ensure candidates complete required pre-employment steps and are prepared for their scheduled start dates.

Recruitment Outreach & Talent Pipeline Development

• Identify and participate in career fairs, workforce development programs, and community recruiting events.
• Establish and maintain relationships with workforce organizations, community partners, and educational institutions.
• Support recruiting initiatives involving high schools, colleges, technical schools, and apprenticeship programs.
• Develop and maintain talent pipelines to support current and anticipated hiring needs.

Reporting & HR Support

• Prepare recruitment reports and provide updates on open requisitions, candidate activity, and hiring progress.
• Monitor recruitment activity and support continuous improvement of hiring processes.
• Assist with HR operations, talent acquisition projects, and additional initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment, including candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer coordination, and pre-employment activities.
• Experience working with applicant tracking systems and recruiting platforms.
• Experience with ADP preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service-oriented approach.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with hiring managers and HR teams.
