Senior Sales Finance Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Finance Manager to serve as a strategic finance partner to the commercial sales organization. This role will provide the financial analysis, insights, and oversight needed to support profitable growth and informed business decisions.

The Senior Sales Finance Manager will play a key role in trade spend management, customer P&L analysis, volume forecasting, and commercial financial planning. The ideal candidate brings strong CPG finance experience, a deep understanding of trade promotion economics, and the ability to effectively partner with sales and cross-functional leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with commercial sales leaders to provide financial guidance and support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage and analyze trade spend, including promotional investments, customer programs, and related financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain customer-level P&Ls to evaluate profitability, margins, and growth opportunities.
  • Support volume forecasting, financial planning, and ongoing sales performance analysis.
  • Analyze gross-to-net activity and identify opportunities to improve profitability and financial performance.
  • Build financial models and reporting that translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights.
  • Monitor sales and financial trends, highlighting risks, opportunities, and key performance drivers.
  • Collaborate across Sales, Finance, and other business functions to support commercial initiatives and financial objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 6–8+ years of finance experience, including experience within a CPG/FMCG environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in trade spend management, customer P&L analysis, and gross-to-net accounting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including complex financial modeling, pivot tables, and macros.
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, or a comparable ERP system.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills with the ability to work effectively across functions and organizational levels.
