Summary:
Our non-profit client is seeking a Rental Assistance Analyst to support rent determinations for housing voucher programs and act as the primary contact for landlords and property managers. This role ensures timely processing of rent requests, supports compliance, and fosters strong landlord relationships.
Key Responsibilities:

Review and process rent increase and new unit requests (RFTAs)

Conduct rent reasonableness evaluations and approve contract rents

Apply knowledge of Section 8 and MRVP voucher programs

Use housing software to ensure timely and accurate rent approvals

Communicate rent decisions to landlords and negotiate when needed

Support landlord compliance and conduct rent-related presentations

Collaborate with internal staff and provide departmental support as needed
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred

3+ years in property management or rental assistance programs

1+ year of data analysis or forecasting experience, ideally in housing programs

Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data systems
