Procurement & Logistics Finance Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Procurement & Logistics Finance Manager to serve as a strategic finance partner within the supply chain organization. This role will provide financial oversight, analysis, and decision support across procurement and logistics functions with direct P&L responsibility.
Operating within the fresh produce industry, this position requires a strong understanding of the financial and operational complexities associated with seasonal volume fluctuations, spot-market pricing, transportation, storage, and demanding customer service levels.
The Procurement & Logistics Finance Manager will partner closely with Procurement, Logistics, and Commercial leadership to improve cost efficiency, protect margins, and provide greater financial visibility across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial leadership and analysis across procurement and logistics operations.
- Partner with Procurement, Logistics, and Commercial teams to support planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business decisions.
- Develop and maintain cost-per-unit, cost-to-serve, and margin analysis models.
- Analyze supply chain costs, including inbound freight, cold storage, 3PL services, palletization, and outbound distribution.
- Monitor cost and margin performance, conducting root-cause analysis to identify key drivers and improvement opportunities.
- Evaluate procurement costs, market pricing, volume trends, and operational performance to support margin optimization.
- Provide clear financial insights and recommendations to operational and executive stakeholders.
- Support initiatives focused on cost efficiency, supply chain performance, and improved financial transparency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of finance experience with significant exposure to supply chain finance, procurement finance, and/or cost accounting.
- Experience within food manufacturing, fresh produce, agriculture, FMCG, manufacturing, or another perishable goods environment strongly preferred.
- Strong financial and cost modeling capabilities, including experience building cost-per-unit, cost-to-serve, and margin waterfall models.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
- Strong understanding of supply chain cost structures, including freight, warehousing, 3PL, storage, and distribution.
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with non-finance operational stakeholders and translate complex financial analysis into actionable business insights.
- CPA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting qualification preferred.
