Description
Our sports medicine client is seeking a seasoned Finance/Industrial Controller to lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting across our manufacturing operations. In this newly created role, you will serve as a strategic partner to both finance and operations teams, driving cost efficiency, performance insights, and data-backed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and report monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results for production, inventory, and operations
- Manage product costing, variance analysis, and root cause investigations
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning for manufacturing functions
- Monitor KPIs (efficiency, yield, waste, resource utilization) and deliver actionable insights
- Collaborate with plant, supply chain, and operations teams to optimize costs and support investment projects
- Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
- Drive automation and digital transformation in financial reporting
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis for strategic initiatives (e.g., capex, make-or-buy studies)
- Assist with financial consolidation and reporting packages
- Participating in inventory counts and asset reviews
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree (min) - Master’s in Finance, Accounting, or Business strongly preferred
- 5+ years (finance, cost accounting, or controller)
- Industrial cost control experience
- Manufacturing industry experience
- Strong cost accounting and ERP system expertise
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, QlikView, SQL, Access)
- Financial modeling, budgeting, variance analysis, and process improvement
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration
- Self-starter with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Work closely with USA and International teams
- Interact with internal departments (Finance, Operations, HR, Sales, etc.) and external partners (vendors, auditors)
- Limited travel required
