We are seeking accomplished sales leaders who are ready to step away from full-time corporate roles and embrace the flexibility and autonomy of fractional consulting.
As a Fractional Sales Leader Consultant, you’ll be part of the King & Bishop consulting network—leveraging our brand, infrastructure, and business development resources—while independently building and managing your own book of business.
What You’ll Do
You’ll act as the part-time head of sales for 1–3 client companies, typically reporting directly to the CEO. Responsibilities include:
- Leading or rebuilding sales functions for companies under $50M in revenue
- Developing and executing sales strategies and playbooks
- Recruiting, mentoring, and managing inside/outside sales teams
- Running regular sales meetings and establishing KPIs and dashboards
- Coaching founders/CEOs through early-stage or scaling sales challenges
- Designing compensation plans, sales processes, and CRM workflows
- Presenting sales forecasts, performance summaries, and growth plans to leadership
Who You Are
- A seasoned B2B sales leader (e.g., VP Sales, Director of Sales, Head of Sales)
- 10+ years of experience in sales leadership roles, ideally in technical or science-driven markets (manufacturing, life science, medical device, biotech, pharma, software, etc.)
- Comfortable operating independently and working with CEOs/founders
- Entrepreneurial mindset—you enjoy the freedom of running your own consulting practice
- Strong communicator with a track record of building trust with executive teams
- Open to project work or long-term fractional roles (10–30 hrs/week)
- Experience working with smaller companies, especially where processes and structure are still being built
