About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Director, Human Resources Business Partner to serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and help shape the organization's people strategy. This senior HR leader will drive organizational effectiveness, talent strategy, workforce planning, and leadership development while leading a high-performing HR Business Partner team.
The ideal candidate brings executive presence, strong business acumen, and the ability to influence complex business decisions while building trusted partnerships across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute workforce, talent, and organizational strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead and mentor the HR Business Partner team, creating consistent service delivery, strengthening consultative capabilities, and driving accountability across the organization.
- Guide organizational design, succession planning, workforce planning, and leadership development initiatives.
- Lead enterprise-wide organizational effectiveness and change management efforts in partnership with HR Centers of Excellence.
- Use workforce analytics and business insights to support strategic decision-making and improve organizational performance.
- Provide executive oversight of employee relations, compliance, and risk management, partnering closely with Legal and Labor Relations.
- Foster a culture of inclusion, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including senior HR leadership roles.
- Proven success partnering with executive leadership on organizational strategy, talent management, and large-scale business transformation.
- Experience leading and developing HR Business Partner teams within complex, matrixed organizations.
- Strong background in employee relations; experience working in unionized environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, change management, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent executive presence, communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
- Fortune 500 experience is preferred.
