AP Specialist

We are hiring on behalf of our client, a custom engineering and manufacturing company in the Tampa, Florida area, for a Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist to support a fast-paced accounting team serving the aerospace and defense industry.

This is a fully onsite opportunity. The position will require 30–40 hours per week during the first month for training and onboarding, then transition to a maximum of 20 hours per week on an ongoing basis.

Required Qualifications

• 4–6 years of accounting experience, including general ledger responsibilities
• Hands-on experience with month-end close
• Strong account reconciliation and problem-solving skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or inventory accounting
• Exposure to cost accounting, including standard costing or job costing
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP systems
• Familiarity with government contracting environments, including Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
