Description
Our client, a digital pharmacy and medications management company, has an immediate opening for an Accounting Associate. This role is responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy in accounting operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily accounting operations including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes
- Process patient cancellation of devices
- Manage credit card processing
- Communicate with patients on open balances
- Prepare and send statements monthly
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of accounts
- Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation
- Maintain accurate financial records and files
- Monitor and manage vendor and client accounts, resolving discrepancies
- Support audits by preparing necessary documentation
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Associate's or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with ERP systems preferred
- Knowledge of financial compliance standards preferred
