Position Overview
The Senior Manager, International Tax & Tax Technology is a key member of the global tax function and is responsible for international tax reporting, global compliance oversight, transfer pricing management, and U.S. taxation of foreign operations. This position also leads initiatives to modernize and automate global tax workflows, leveraging technology to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across the organization.
This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, process improvement mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain transfer pricing methodologies aligned with global standards and regulatory expectations.
- Coordinate with advisors on documentation, benchmarking, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure intercompany arrangements, cross-charges, and loan transactions are properly supported and documented.
- Oversee international components of ASC 740 income tax reporting.
- Review provision packages prepared by regional teams and service providers.
- Track GAAP-to-statutory differences and support intercompany service charge calculations.
- Implement and manage tax software and digital tools to improve workflow efficiency.
- Lead automation initiatives using modern technologies such as AI, RPA, and ML.
- Partner with IT teams to resolve system issues and integrate tax tools with enterprise systems.
- Provide training and support to internal teams on tax technology solutions.
- Direct U.S. international tax compliance, including calculations related to foreign tax credits, Subpart F, E&P, GILTI, and FDII.
- Support non-U.S. finance teams with timely and accurate local tax return filings.
- Ensure consistency between global tax strategy and local statutory compliance.
- Manage relationships with global external advisors and compliance vendors.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelors Degree
- 7+ years of experience in tax, including significant international tax exposure.
- Strong technical knowledge of international tax concepts, transfer pricing, and ASC 740.
- Experience with ERP systems and tax software platforms.
- Demonstrated analytical and project management capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex tax topics clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.
Preferred
- CPA certification; Master’s in Taxation a plus.
- Experience using or implementing automation tools (AI, RPA, ML).
- Familiarity with data analytics or business intelligence tools.
