Description

Our client, a marketing communications agency, is searching for an experienced Social Media Manager.  This role requires polished team management skills, attention to detail and thoroughness as well as social media strategy and budget management.

Overview:

Reporting to the COO, the Social Media Manager is responsible for evaluating, planning, communicating and executing social media assignments to include management of workload, content, analytics, media buys and Influencer teams. The candidate will have daily communication with internal team members, contractors and external vendors is central to the position.

Responsibilities: 

  • Clearly communicate social media strategies, deadlines and expectations to internal teams.
  • Maintain social media guidelines and best practices.
  • Collaborate with social media content creators, review analytics, review post performance and provide training on best practices.
  • Create and manage social media content strategies, scheduling, analytics reporting and scheduled meetings.
  • Write, edit, proof and post content, including video production and editing.
  • Manage organic and paid media placements and budgets.
  • Recruite, manage, train and manage quality control of content contributors, influencers, social media sites and vendors.
  • Communicate with social media followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews.
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.
  • Develop strategic relationships and partnerships to advance blog content, social media content, influencers, paid media and marketing objectives.
  • Track and report digital and social media campaign results; provide status reports as well as timelines and projections for ongoing platforms.
  • Participate in client, prospect and vendor meetings and conference calls.
  • Possible travel when required.
  • Review client and vendor quotes, specifications and scheduling.

Skills:

  • Experience managing social media sites and working with deadlines
  • Social Media buying and ad placement
  • Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule and prioritize based on interdependent criteria
  • works independently

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, or Business – preferred but not required
  • 2+ years in Social Media site and content management– agency experience a plus
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of the following preferred but not required:
    • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Docs, Google Analytics
    • Social Media – Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram
    • Slack
    • Go To Meeting, Skype
