Description

Our client, a leading national food and beverage manufacturer, is seeking an experienced HR Generalist.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Recruit, interview, test, and select employees to fill vacant positions.
  • Maintain local AAP program, and ensure accuracy with applicant flow log.
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
  • Keep records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Train management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
  • Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Conduct performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
  • Manage salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization.
  • Administer benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
  • Plan and execute employee activities that foster meaningful connection to the Company and site (luncheons, celebrations, Open Enrollment & Wellness Activities).
  • Create and post communications (table talkers, birthday/anniversary announcements, etc.
  • Participate in quarterly communications meetings to provide updates and communications to employees.
  • Payroll responsibilities to include, time keeping, processing, and record retention
  • Assist in divisional HR needs as required.
  • Other duties assigned.

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree preferred, BA/BS a plus.
  • 2-4 years’ experience
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Ability to work and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent file management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Strong computer skills.
